From our humble beginning, Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity Inc. has always been driven to exemplify the true basis in what it takes to serve the community. Our order follows suit with one of the world’s most prolific leaders, Mahatma Gandhi who stated “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

In inspiration of the quote, Delta Epsilon Psi has taken upon itself to make our primary philanthropy the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In remembrance of our fallen brother, Vishal Bhagat, who struggled with type 1 diabetes himself, Delta Epsilon Psi has made it our mission to continue his vision and legacy on fighting to find a cure. Vishal, despite his health condition, worked tirelessly to bring awareness of juvenile diabetes to the common person on the college campus and within the community of Austin, Texas. The direct result of his efforts throughout the past years have brought about numerous events as platforms to bring the community together, raise awareness, and funds for the cause of JDRF. Unfortunately, in August 2006, Vishal Bhagat had passed away in an ill-fated accident. However, his passion and enthusiasm as a brother and towards his work continues to unify the fraternity nationwide. Through our brotherhood we remember Vishal Bhagat’s life; and with our steadfast discipline and commitment, we are a constant force to help those in the cause for finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.
