JDRF and Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity Inc. team up every year to raise money nationally and to help promote awareness for the cause. Through our newly formed partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, we have committed to the responsibility of bringing support from not only the South Asian population, but also America’ s collegiate community. As students on our respective college campuses, we see a rich atmosphere that serves as a medium in which a small message from one fraternity can become a movement, nationally as well as globally.

A daunting task as it may be, we the brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi are committed to preserving the mission of our predecessors in the fight against Type 1 Diabetes because of the personal connection that every brother has to this philanthropy.

In 1998, a brother from the founding chapter of Delta Epsilon Psi at the University of Texas —Vishal Bhagat— had a vision of establishing marquee service events that were in line with his passion of creating awareness and finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, a disease that he coped with his entire life. Despite his struggle as an individual with the disease, he spent his life reaching out and serving those that shared his passion on finding cure. Unfortunately, in August of 2006 Vishal Bhagat had passed away. However, through Delta Epsilon Psi’s pillar of brotherhood, his legacy and mission continues to live on today as a national, unifying movement.

Raising over $50,000 annually, Delta Epsilon Psi contributes 100% of our efforts to provide awareness and funds to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation find a cure.
