Raas for the Cure is an event that epitomizes the South Asian cultural aspect of Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity Inc. The culture is fused with the traditional American college environment to create an atmosphere conducive for the promotion of a great cause.

Raas for the Cure is traditionally held during the time of the Hindu celebration of Navratri. The event brings a diverse population of people together to celebrate the Hindu culture, while promoting awareness and funds for JDRF. The event has become a cornerstone for Delta Epsilon Psi by combining a rich South Asian cultural event with our primary philanthropy, Type 1 Diabetes.

Delta Epsilon Psi hosts Raas for the Cure at different times of the year under the title Garam Garba. The event was first developed at the University of Central Florida in conjunction with several other organizations. On average both Raas for the Cure and Garam Garba both raise $6,500.00 in the span of four hours per event. With an attendance reaching far over 250 people, both events reach out to promote the need to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and its worldwide impact.
