Sugar Spike Off is a volleyball tournament held yearly in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and their mission to cure Type 1 Diabetes. The event was established at the University of Miami, where the brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi hosted the fraternity’s very first beach volleyball tournament.

Since its creation, Sugar Spike Off has been held at over 20 different universities. It has created funds close to $6000 per event and it has extended its reached to over 3000 people. In addition to the tournament’s outdoor beach setting, the event has also come to embody the indoor venues as well. Together with both the students and their local communities, Delta Epsilon Psi has created a single place of fun competition in which all proceeds are given to JDRF.

Sugar Spike Off is an example of Delta Epsilon Psi’s initiative toward developing new events for the interests of their peers and their respective college campuses. With the fraternity’s commitment to assist the research in finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, the brothers are determined to set the bar for new service events nation wide.
